Heber City’s Avon theatre has a long history in the movie entertainment business dating back to 1948.  When built the 400 seat Avon theater was a state-of-the-art movie house and still is today with the addition of the latest Real 3D projectors and it was also the first theatre in the world to have surround sound, which was developed and tested at the Avon by local Heber inventor James Fosgate the father of Dolby Surround Sound.

The Current owners of the theatre are James Lane, Jane Lane and Margaret Stalcup  all three can be found activly running the theater and concessions.
