Jackie Burnham named Heber Valley Elementary Principal
|After a thorough search and rigorous interview process, Jacki Burnham has been named by the Wasatch County Board of Education to be the new principal at Heber Valley Elementary School, beginning July 1, 2011.
Jacki has many years in public education, serving in both Jordan and Wasatch School Districts. She has taught preschool, kindergarten, different elementary grades, and special education classes. She has worked closely with elementary teachers, coaches, and our principals while serving the last eight years as an elementary curriculum specialist. She has been actively involved in many curriculum and instructional decisions. She also has helped many educators in professional development concerning the teaching of elementary math and language arts.
“I love what is going on at Heber Valley Elementary,” said Mrs. Burnham after the announcement. “They have established an outstanding foundation to build upon. I am excited to work with the students and staff to try and elevate the wonderful programs we have here.”
“We express our appreciation for the many years of service rendered by Principal Eric Campbell at Heber Valley Elementary,” said Superintendent Terry Shoemaker. “We look forward to working with Mr. Campbell in his new assignment at the District Office, and Mrs. Burnham as the new Heber Valley Elementary Principal.
