Midway’s “Main Street Musicians"

In its second year Midway’s “Main Street Musicians,” has proven to be a musically refreshing new addition to the 4th of July Festivities in the Heber Valley.

With 16 different musical acts performing on three different street corners throughout the day of July 3rd, it was much like feasting on a smorgasbord of music as folks strolled along from one street corner to the next, New Orleans style.

Musical local acts included Doug Pope’s rich-classic Cowboy Western, Kim Loertscher’s amazing-Barber Shop Quartet, Britt Wilde’s Swiss Hand Bell Ringers, with classical performances from Winston Lee’s String Quartet, Kathy Buell – Solo Pianist, and the Wasatch Baroque Chamber Ensemble. Also, a powerful classic rock performance from the Holy Water Buffalo Band, Rob Sorensen dazzled the audience with his electric violin, and the sounds of New Orleans came from Michael Siggard’s Dixieland Brass Band. Local talent Ivan Bigney, performed a potpourri of  rilliant songs, followed by his extremely talented friend Bently Murdock. We brought in some amazing outside talent for Main Street Musicians such as Jablue a folk blues style band, recording artist Anke Summerhill with Ked Sager, and the very popular Blue Aces “All Girl pop/rock Band,” finish out the day to the delight of large audience attendance.

Main Street Musicians was followed by the exciting
