S.R. 113; Heber to Midway 7/20/2012 Week Look Ahead

***Work will be suspended on Tuesday, July 24 to help traffic move more efficiently through the area on the Pioneer Day holiday. For safety reasons, traffic control devices will stay in place. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday!***

The following construction activities are dependent on weather conditions and are subject to change in the event of inclement weather.

7/20/2012 Week Look Ahead:

Midway Main Street

  • Once the final paving operation in Heber and Midway Lane is complete, paving will begin on Midway Main Street. This work is expected to begin on August 1st or 2nd but is dependent on weather conditions and materials availability. When this final paving phase begins, construction will take place on one side of the road at a time so traffic will be shifted to allow crews room to work. One lane in each direction will be maintained and business accesses will also be open during this work.

Midway Lane/Heber Area

  • The final asphalt paving operation is scheduled to begin again on Wednesday, July 25 starting at Heber Main St. going west on 100 S. It is expected that the work through the Heber and Midway Lane area will take approximately one week to complete. No work is scheduled for Saturday, July 28 due to the Wasatch County Fair events on that day.
  • During paving, traffic will be limited to one lane, one direction at a time with flaggers present to direct traffic. 10-15 minute delays are expected. Access to businesses will be maintained except during brief periods when work passes by them. Congestion in the area is likely so drivers are encouraged to plan for extra travel time through this area.
  • Crews are scheduled to finish the landscaping in the park strip today for properties along 100 S. between Heber Main St. and 600 W. Residents and businesses are encouraged to begin watering their new landscaping as soon as possible.

Other Projects in the Area

  • Work to repair the concrete on U.S. 40 and U.S. 189 near the mouth of Provo Canyon is underway. For questions on the U.S. 40 Wasatch Summit County Line or Provo Canyon Concrete Rehab Projects, please contact Cameron Erickson at (801) 766-0444.
  • Heber City is replacing a water line on U.S. 40 near the U.S. 189 intersection. For questions about that work, please contact Willa Motley at 435-654-2226. This work is expected to be complete by the end of next week.

Project Overview:

Construction on this project started on April 20 and is scheduled to be complete by September 2012. This project is installing new asphalt pavement on S.R. 113 between 200 W. in Midway and Heber Main St. It has installed an underground waterline, curb, gutter and driveway improvements in Heber.

What is S.R. 113? S.R. 113 is a state route that you might call by another name: 100 South in Heber, Midway Lane or Midway Main Street.
