June 13 2013 Concert in the Park featuring Switchback

The Ambank Heber Valley Concerts in the Park series begins June 13th with the Classic Rock sounds of Switchback.   Concert schedules will be available at the Chamber of Commerce, the Heber City offices and at Concert sponsor locations through out the valley.  This years’ concert series features two bands that have never before played in the concert Series and one band that has not played here in many years.

Switchback is:
Mark Allen Guitar/Vocal , Mark has lived in the Park City/Midway area for 27 years and has played in various bands around the area. He started playing guitar at the age of 12 in 1969 and hasn’t stopped yet. He has played many, many different genres and is very excited to be playing with Switchback. Finally a band that is willing to play the popular “hard” songs from the 60’s and 70’s and have fun doing it.
Marc Finley, drums, Percussion,  has played drums and percussion for many years and his experience spans almost all  musical genres. A long time resident of the Wasatch Front and a veteran of many local bands, he has had the good fortune to play with many great musicians at many amazing venues.  Rock & roll has always been his favorite and playing definitive classic rock with Switchback is a dream come true for him. This band is pure fun and enjoyment and it just keeps getting better. The music we play is the music  you've  listened to and grown up with.  We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy playing it for you !
Terry Jeffs,  Guitar/Vocals, has lived in the Salt Lake City and Park City area for over 40 years, and has always had music as part of his life. Terry got his first guitar at age 8, and started playing drums soon thereafter as well.   After high school, the guitar took a back seat to the drums and sometime later he found himself playing drums in several local bands.  In 1989, he was asked to join a group and over the next few years through a lot of hard work, they had signed two record deals.  Fast forward, about 8 years ago, he got together with Mark Allen, dusted off the guitar and they began playing together. He has enjoyed every minute of it.  Terry has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Switchback.  It is a great escape for all.  Being with great friends and playing great music for great people, is always a great time.
Dana Byerley,  Bass/Vocal, Dana is one of the singers and the bass player for Switchback.  He has been playing since he was a kid.  "Rock" as he calls it, is his genera of choice although he has played Country, Jazz and the Blues with bands on the Wasatch Front.  He has played most if not all the of the hot spots in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Nevada.  He has played on both the East and West Coasts, but he loves playing here in Utah...especially with Switchback where he can harmonize with Mark and Terry, creating that unique Switchback sound.  He says this is the band of his dreams, like Marc who plays drums.  Dana and Marc have played together in 5 different bands and he says "This is the band I love the most.  The talent in this band is amazing...".  He believes the music and songs Switchback plays is Rock like you remember.  Switchback has come together in the last year and is looking forward to a long future. They are currently booked in Springville 6/8, Heber Valley 6/13, Timpanogas Harley 6/21 and 6/22! Let the summer begin.
