2010 Gladys Stevens | County Treasurer
Dear Wasatch County Residents,
First of all, I would like to express my appreciation to HeberValley.info for providing this forum to introduce myself to you as a candidate for Wasatch County Treasurer. For the past 15 years I have had the privilege of serving as the Deputy Treasurer under the direction of our current County Treasurer, Karolyn Kelly. Prior to working in the Treasurers office I worked for Zion’s Bank in Heber City for 6 years. Both of these jobs have been instrumental in preparing me to serve effectively as the Wasatch County Treasurer. The responsibilities that go along with performing the functions of Treasurer require honesty, integrity, organization, and commitment. If elected I promise to exhibit all of these qualities. Perhaps most importantly I am the one candidate that is both qualified and experienced to perform the job effectively from day one with very little disruption to the office. The policies and procedures associated with the Treasurers office as well as the software systems that we interface with are not easily learned over a short period of time. The skill set that I have had the opportunity to develop over many years of service I feel are what set me apart for this job. I learned at an early age the importance of hard work and responsible finance management. These are qualities that I have and will carry with me throughout my life and in my job.
On a personal note, my husband Lynn and I have been married for the past 21 years and have 3 children, Kameron, Kasey, and Mikayla. We love the same things that you most likely love about this valley. The four beautiful seasons, the recreational opportunities, the great schools, and the wonderful people that live in this community. On November 2nd please take the time to vote and please vote for Gladys Stevens as Wasatch County Treasurer.
Please feel free to contact me at 435-671-6127 or at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions/concerns that you may have.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
